Saks Baptist Church

Daniel has been the pastor at Saks Baptist Church since October 1991.  His father, the Reverend Sherman Harper, served here as pastor before him for thirty-one years.  Daniel's wife is Rosemary, and they have been married since September 15, 1990.  Rosemary is employed at Jacksonville State University, where she serves as the Dean's Secretary for the College of Education and Professional Studies.  They have two sons, Zachary, age 14 and Nicholas, age 9, who attend Alexandria High School and Alexandria Elementary School.  Daniel is a graduate of Saks High School.  He attended college at Jacksonville State University where he recieved a B.A. in political science & history, a B.S. in education, and an M.A. in history.  He also attended Auburn University where he was pursuing a doctoral degree in history until his father's death led him to accept the postion of pastor at Saks Baptist.

Jeanetta has been on staff as the Church Secretary since December of 2001. She has been married to Eddie Greenwood, one of the church deacons, for 38 years. They have three children and four grandchildren. Jeanetta and Eddie, both, teach Adult Sunday School Classes, sing in the choir, and participate in the many activities of the church.
